Here's the top ten lakes in US according to the Bassmasters

1 Falcon Lake, Texas

2 Lake Okeechobee, Florida

3 Lake Guntersville, Alabama

4 Lake Erie, Michigan/Ohio/New York/Pennsylvania

5 Lake Champlain, New York/Vermont

6 Lake Amistad, Texas

7 Lake Minnetonka, Minnesota

8 San Joaquin Delta, California

9 Lake Coeur dAlene, Idaho

10 Clear Lake, California

If I could go to any spot in the US and Falcon was out then has to be 2 and 3. I'll be on Amistad next weekend...

Hey Ronald Harper - have you been to Oviachic before? I will be there the first week of December and is my first trip. Just curious if you have any experience there.

Been coming down since 2005, and still love Falcon. Numbers are way down, but kickers make up for it. I have two more days to catch some more of these.

If you want numbers amistad, im not a fork fan but a lot of people love it. I think Salto would be high on the list for me I have friends who swear by it...

personally if I had the money I am jonesing BAD for another snook trip in florida... Its the salt water version of bass I SWEAR. Guys skip docks to catch them lol

I pretty much agree with Fouzman above. There are some smaller lakes in Texas that might be great soon but I don't think on numbers of large fish like Falcon or Fork. I would think the Florida options would be pretty cool. I like that type of water. Snook fishing sounds fun as well. You could do a snook/ bass double trip.

I'd head to the Big "O"....

Falcon has not recovered from getting hammered for the last 5-6 years.... Amistad has not recovered either and it used to get hammered like Falcon and still has not recovered...

These lakes can only handle so much pressure and meat eaters/tourneys that don't care for the fish... I fish tourneys as well and I see how "some" folks do not care for the fish....

Guntersville or Lanier. You can catch mag spots til your arm falls off at lanier. 6lb + spots will put the hurtin' on you
