Have some good memories of that place from back in the 90's.Was working on my boat one day around noon and had a guy on the balcony above me start a conversation. He came down and we talked about an hour and it finally dawned on me that this guy was a celebrity and I had seen him on TV before.I was embarrased to ask his name and he told me his name was Tommy Martin. We talked for about another hour and he was the nicest guy and answered all my questions I ever had about bass fishing and deer hunting. That was priceless.

Ok.. I've tried this twice but my computer is being CRAZY!

Many of you may recognize my pseudonym, but my name is Marta Terry & I'm Martin & Melody Edwards' youngest daughter. I worked in the marina, restaurant, et al for my parents for many MANY years before we sold.

As you said, there were legal I's that had to be dotted and T's that had to be crossed, but I'm pleased to announce that as of yesterday, November 6, our family officially owns the Minnow Bucket once again.

You are right. There are many repairs to be made, & over the course of the following days & weeks, you will continue to see our family working diligently to make necessary repairs & - as the sign now says - the doors will reopen soon.

We appreciate everyone's patience and support & certainly want you all to know how much you mean to us now & have over the years.

We look forward to seeing everyone again... very soon.

Marta

An institution revitalized? I'd just bet that there are a bunch of TFFers that would show up for a planned and organized "Help Kick the "Buckett" Back to Life!" event?

I'll buy the BBQ and fixins from LeeMo's ? for all that attend and help clean up the grounds so the renaissance may begin.

Whatdaya say?

Actually... that's one heckuva idea... Mom & Dad have crashed for the night, but I will definitely talk to em. And I certainly think you're right. So many people have offered their assistance since all of this began - and we appreciate the loyalty and friendship you've extended to us over the years.... And I have to admit, your sentiment has brought a serious stream of tears to my eyes smile Will get back with you!! Thanks so much!!!

Is this the place you need to pay 5 dollars for a membership to buy a beer?

Marta I want to say something but do not take this wrong. It is just my opinion. I thought the waitresses there were not very good or professional and could not get orders right and never came around to check on you/customers or fill your glass. Nancy was the best thing going over there and she knows how to take care of the customers. When Chris/Tony left the tackle store it went down hill fast. When the guide's bring in our customers we like to bring them in to a good clean professional run place that likes to cater to them and good service/food is a big plus. In saying that all these things were not there so most guides moved over to Oak Ridge. We wish you guys the best and hope you get it back up and running before spring. If Chris/Tony are part of it again they will pull in lots of fisherman who respect their opinions in the fishing world.IMO Good Luck <""><

I was in store the other day and Ken said he was having to close so I asked him if I could have my polaroid picture of my 16 lber.that was taped in the showcase . So it looks like I will have to bring it back and put it back in the showcase . Can't wait to see Tony , Chris , back at the Minnow Bucket . It was the first place I stayed at in 1991 and I got there about 1 a.m.
in the morning and slept in mt truck till daylight .

What is the back story? I used to go there a lot back in the 90's did the family sell it to someone else and that some one went out of business? Are they getting it back ? Used to be an awesome place.

If yall end up pulling this deal together please make a post on here with the date... I'll be there if at all possible and can vouch for 3 or 4 other folks that would likely attend also.
