I have a older 210C { 21'} with 225 yammy, and don't know if I ever have run it WOT, maybe close @ 62 on gps. Normally run around 45 -5o and saves some fuel and wear and tear on engine. Poor people have poor ways. Power heads cost too much as some friends have told me so.I think it's a speed thing that make people drive their boats like they stole it, If I need a fix my son has A liberator w/ a blown V drive 502 chevy that could suck the gel coat of of any bass boat.

2000 ZX 202 Skeeter with 200hp Yam.

0 mph. i am part of "team skeeter-less"!!! LOL! both my old zx202c's ran 66-68mph with 200 sized motors on them. the merc efi ran slightly faster with a ton more torque (as opposed to the yamaha 200 pro-v).

E8C-ENG Show me a bass boat at 130 mph @ 5800 rpm with throttle left. This is not a stock 502, close to 1000 hp.

btw my zx200 will only do 67mph. Dont know if it was fully loaded or not but I dont think it really matters... I'm the size of 2 dudes so everytime I get in there its fully loaded.

2010 21I-Class 300hp 74mph. only thing that aint stock is the merc tempest prop.

2008 20I 250 Yam 69 with 2 people and full tournament load. I am sure it would hit mid 70's with a light load but I just don't have the energy to take all my stuff out!!!

2003 TZX-190, 150 Yamaha VMAX (Carb), stock 25M prop

Light load - 61 mph
Loaded - 58-59mph

The ones running"speed props" , modified engines and running over 100 are throwing the lowest rooster tails......


To answer the rooster tail question better they are either trimmed to high , have their set-up wrong and have to trim it too high or are running shallow and worried about hitting something...

I searched the internet for a 130mph single engine liberator and this thread was the only result i found. I found a few fast ones, most with twin merc drags.

Are you sure you're not fibbing on that speed just a little??

No fibbing, I have been it at 100 and made him get out of it, since then he put around 10,000 more into engine,forged pistons,cam yada yada. engine built by a guy that builds Hemi and big block chevys drag engines for the big boys. Come down to PK lake if you have the plums to go that fast,I know I don't. 100 mph nearly made me change my drawers. Remember this is a V drive and not a jet drive: Liberator puts one out with three 300 mercs that will run close to 130 mph.

'07 ZX225 w/ 225 HPDI....fastest I've ever had it is 72.6mph on GPS.
