Stop and talk to Steve at Steve's Prop shop...he is so a pretty good guy to get info from.

Whether you think you can or you can't, you are probably right.

Brian Sartin @ Sartin Marine..Perry @ Service Marine ..Greg @ Lakeside Trolling Motor .. dont have much exp w/DSM but heard good things about them..Brian is who I trust for rigging..Perry w/my motor..Brian or Greg w/ trolling motor..Greg probably the best turn around time though..and of course Steve w/my prop.

You can easily install your own transducer(s)correctly the 1st time by following the RULES and using equipment designed specifically for that purpose. You can also avoid the inevitable damges and boat leaks which can be expected with external transducer installations. By all means, secure your installers' written liability statement should you choose to pursue that route. Remember: your boat and its warranty, regardless of its age, is well written to avoid problems after it left the factory and generally will EXCLUDE installations and ensuing damages of all manner made by others, which includes transducers.
Safe boating...

Peering over the transom at 50mph to find that
elusive "smooth spot" is just plain poor
judgement.
