My dad is looking at boats, and we stumbled across A used 2004 lts we really like triton boats, and we are interested in it, but the only thing we are worried abOut is whether or not the 200hp Suzuki on it is really enough motor on a heavy 24 footer. Also, what do u guys think of Suzuki motors? Any of u guys have this model boat, what do u think?

I think Suzuki entered into banktruptsy today, don't know how that will affect parts availabilty.
I have seen several LTS boats from Triton, seems as if they are owned by Mercury. Nice boats from my limited experience.

Tim at Waterski world in Dallas has one, you might give him a call.

It ain't easy making it look easy.

I have a suzuki 115 on the back of my 17' skeeter and the motor is great, always starts right up. I would imagine all other suzuki's are probly pretty similar. Great motor

I like that triton. Have seen one up close and looks like a solid rig. They make a heck of a bass boat so I would assume the bay boat is good too. I don't know much about the suzuki motor though I never heard any bad things about them. Worth a try to me. Good luck smile

I have a 2004 Suzuki 140 four stroke behind a heavy 19" center console bay boat. It pushes her near 40 mph on gps. Plenty of speed if you ask me.

Like golfballer, my engine starts easy and I have not had any problem with it. From what I have read, Suzuki m are folding their automobile division but they will keep their marine and off road.

Do you know what dirty sox smells like?

Before buying my Sea Hunt I did a lake trial on a 220 LTS. So 2 feet smaller than the one you're looking at, should be a bit lighter and it had a 200 Suzuki. It felt like it took forever to get on plane and with the livewell full and 3 guys on, truly felt underpowered.

I don't have to speed everywhere but I wanted something that could get out of the water fairly quick while fully loaded.

I have a 140 on my 22 foot Fishmaster. It scoots between 40 and 42 mph with two adults. Never had a problem with the motor just regular oil, gas, spark plug and filter changes since I've had the boat and motor new since 2004.
