I made a separate post asking for assistance on Toledo Bend, but I also have another question for y'all.

My Dad and I are fishing Thursday-Sunday. For sure, we are fishing Toledo Bend Friday pm - Sunday am. However, we thought about fishing another lake on the way to Toledo Bend - we are leaving from McKinney (north of Dallas).

Any recommendations on a lake that we should fish Thursday and Friday am?? We thought about Welch, Nacogdoches, or Sam Rayburn (but heard there is a big tourny on Rayburn, so probably will skip that one). Maybe we will just drive straight to Toledo. Thoughts??

Ok, narrowing choices down to Welsh and Nac (leaning towards Nac, as my Dad has never fished it). I graduated from SFA (class of 94) and fished it all the time, but haven't fished it since I left school.

If anyone is on fish at either lake, would you mind PM'ing me with some assistance?

Lake Naconiche - Brand new lake north on Nacogdoches which has been open about 6 weeks. My first fish there was a 9.5.
Lake Naconiche Directions:

Stay on 59N all the way to NAC
Take the texarkana exit, still on 59
When you get to 259/59 stay on 59 (going towards Garrison)
Just as you pass FM941, take FM2435 (No lake sign on 59) on your left to CR137 boat ramp be first left
