I was able to fish Thursday afternoon, Friday morning and Saturday afternoon. I must say it was a sandie weekend. Caught plenty of sandies at all spots.
I know most of you guys are not enthralled with sandies, but I enjoyed these fishing excursions this weekend.
Still looking for those hybrids to surface in a few weeks. But the sandies were nice this weekend.

Karry, we too had a blast on Saturday. Between my girlfriend and I we caught a little over 70 sandies and 20+ hybrids. No huge hybrids but lots of 5-6 pound fish.
We ran into a guy on the spillway humps late in the afternoon that was killing them and he was kind enough to give us a couple of his customized cordell spoons(we were throwing a silver slab and a silver mepps #2). He was also on top of a school of fish and asked us to come over next to his boat and fish with him on that school. We were the only two boats anywhere around and we had a blast catching and releasing another 30 fish. I did not get his name but thanks to him for a last hour of fast action and two cordell spoons.

Where can you launch, since the water is low? Caney ramp?? or some other ramps?

Caney, Fishermans Wharf, Dons Port and Log Cabin should all be good.

I stayed on the south end. Usual areas I fish. Even spent Thursday evening chasing shad around Fishermans Wharf. Friday morning in and around drop off and the flats. And Saturday was just a repeat of Friday. Saturday was in between ball games and only moderately successful. Hope to see you soon. Karry Ps. My fishing lately has been sporadic for a number of reasons. But things are changing I believe.
