Today was my first time to fish Bachman lake in a boat. looked at it on Google maps and saw there was over flow colvert in deep water so around 7am this morning I launched and went right to it and found brush on the lake side, spider rigged it and the rest of the dam in 7ft deep and across it again at 10ft, no bites. only cought one at the colvert so at 9:15 ish I loaded back up, went home, ate lunch, went to WRL..no fish at my 6.5ft spot so I checked my 9ft spot then my 12ft spot then another 10ft spot and still no bites witch means they went out deeper so I pulled off a spot about 15yards to 17ft deep and there they were!!!! cought 4 in about 20 minutes but by then it was 2 o'clock so I had to get back for my NASCAR stuff.. gave all my fish to some guy and gal fishing by the ramp by the dam.. I'll be fish-in at WRL from now on..got to try something new every now and then..P.S. I hart WRL!!!!!!

Oh ya, both lakes were 63 degrees and with the front the fish and bait were as deep as they could go in both lakes but still closest to structure as posible. Bachmans fish was cought 10ft down in 11ft of water and WR's fish were cought 10 to 15ft down in 17 ft of water.. it's like there was a ceiling at 10ft in both lakes??? most fish were under the bait but some were mixed in with the bait.

When the water temp drops 10 more degree's they will chase shad up the creek. 2 weeks ago they were 6-10 ft deep but yesterday they were deeper, all most the same water temps. I think it was the pressure from the front because I can find them 5-6ft deep most of the year if the weather is stable for at least a week straight..
