I usually fish for bass and then try the sand bass if I have time before leaving the lake. However, we decided to go for sand bass on an almost windless day on Halloween. We started at 8:30am and stopped at 12pm. Fishing with a slab and bucktail fly tied above it, we caught 153 sand bass and 3 blue catfish. All fish were caught in two spots in about 35' water depth. It was a fun day to be on the lake!

My partner and I were fishing humps out of Jordan. One was northeast of Wolf Island and the other spot was south of Wolf. The water had a slight ripple in the light wind and the birds were feeding in the second spot, which made it easy to stay on the fish! About 1/2 of our fish were caught on doubles.
