MY KINGFISHER BOAT NEEDS NEW CARPET. I WONDER IF A LINING LIKE RHINO LINER WOULD WORK OR IF I NEED TO HAVE IT CARPETED. DO YOU KNOW ANYONE THAT DOES THIS & ANY IDEA OF THE COST? DOES ANYONE WANT TO TRADE LABOR FOR FISHING? ------------------ GOOD FISHING. ERNEST"I LIVE FOR THE THUMP"

Ernest, I am looking for the same info. I just wonder what they would have to do with the old adhesive when the carpet is pulled up. Surely they would have to remove it before spraying on the liner. Sure would help from having a wet boat for a long time. If you find someone please post the answer. Cliff Taft

HighTechRedneck is having a spray-in liner added to his boat right now. Wait a few days and summon a response from him when he gets it back.

I was curious about this too when I rad it a few days ago. I called Truck and Stuff here in Tyler, and they do it. I was wondering if it would become slippery when wet. I was also wondering about rod storage, live wells and all other compartments, that have to be opened and closed? I have come to a conclusion though. If I get it, it will only be up front where the carpet wears out at the trolling motor. My carpet is worn where my foot rests when running my trolling motor.

Earnest I got my boat back yesterday from buz post collision center in Arlington. Gary Sanders 817/784-3361. I took it home dumped a bucket of water on the deck and it does not get slick. YES NO MORE CARPET. I had them match the spray to the color the carpet was (teal green) Turned out real good. Wish my scanner wasn't down or I would post pictures. If anyone out there wants to and will, I will get pics developed and pit in the old U.S. Postal sevice and mail so you can post for me. They did mine on a sponsorship for my Guide service but Gary told me yesterday if I had any buddies that wanted it done he would offer them discounts. You might call him and see what he would charge you. Be sure and tell him that Randy Routh out of Little Rocky Lodge and Guide services sent you. Again they did a super job and I highly recommend them. Only sprayed in two coats to keep the weight down and that was plenty to give everything a good coat. If I remember correctly they normally spray 4 coats in the bed of a pick up. ------------------ Randy Routh http://www.teamredneck.s5.com

Hey Clifford, I pulled up all the carpet and they took a big nylon wire wheel on a drill and knocked all the backing off and glu that was stuck where the carpet was removed, then they sanded with an 80 grit paper. I pulled off trolling motor all and anything that was on the decks, ie storage lids, front fish finder etc.,etc. After it was sprayed then I put the lids and etc. back on and it looks sharp. Can't wait to go throw my net and get it all nasty just to see how much easier it is to clean up.

I just picked my ranger boat up from Danny Arnett of Lake Fork boat carpet and he did a wonderful job on new carpet for my boat. It looks great. I will use him again. His number is 903-440-44440. Thank you Danny. Tom Rogers
