My fiance's dad had a massive heart attack today, and had to be revived 3 times. He's recovering at UT Southwestern tonight. He's doing very well. Talking and asking when he can get up and move around. It's times like these when I feel truly blessed to be lucky enough to have such a strong woman at my side. Everyone please pray for my soon-to-be father-in-law.

Praying... What's important is knowing he would be ready if he passes and not just a "good person". Its nice to have a place like this to go where people care. Hope he's ok!!
Look up " Aquaponics! The self sustained revolution." on Face Book and like the page to learn how to use fish to grow anything at 4 times the rate with 90% less water than normal agriculture while eliminating all chemicals and producing fertilizer for in ground plants.

He's doing much better! Thanks all for the prayers! He was able to get up and move around yesterday, and was moved into his own room today. Again, thanks y'all. It really means a lot!

TxPacker,
He is at an incredible hospital. They do great things. But be warned. My father in law was there 2 months ago for lung surgery. Surgery went well. But after he was running a fever and developed pneumonia. The lead doctor pushed for his release regardless. They didn't prescribe an intermediate facility. The visiting nurse said it was highly unusual for someone in his condition to not at least have an intermediate facility. He ended up dying. The doctor ended up acknowledging his mistake. But the thing that really hit home was when we first came in there was a woman being released and she kept stating she was too sick to be leaving. I thought she was a bit "off". I just wish I'd have listened to her. I say all this to jut caution you. Make sure there's nothing overly wrong before yall let him be released. If a doctor is pushing go to the administration and raise hell. The great thing about a university hospital is the cutting edge technology. It's amazing what they can do. The bad part is in our situation it doesn't make since to even try to sue them. A public institution is limited to $100k of liability. You'll spend a minimum of $60k on lawyers. Doesn't count fees etc. Unless you have significant resources, which we don't, you really have minimal recourse. And for those reading this, yes, tomorrow is going to suck. We're all going out of town for Christmas to try and take our mind off things.
If you'd like to chat you can IM me your cell and I'll watch my inbox.
God Bless you all..
