I am taking my family on a weekend trip and we are camping at Caddo Lake State Park. We will be bank fishing and I was considering my best plan of action. Crappie? Bass? I was thinking sunfish then catfish with cut bait. Never been there and any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Minnows would be a good start.
One thing everyone overlooks on Caddo are the chain pickerel or pike. They bite a yellow H&H like it's candy and are easy to catch.They are usually scattered though so might be lucky to catch one or two without a boat.

Thanks FH... We had a great time at Caddo Lake State Park. I scouted the bank fishing at the park which is only available near the boat ramp and found the guys there were having very limited success fishing for crappie cats and sunfish. Canoe rental is available at the state park and is well worth the effort. I paddled out to the bayou in the morning and caught crappie in the structure along the bank. I used minnows but saw a couple having some success jigging under a small cigar bobber about 10 inches deep.In the afternoon I took the canoe out again n decided to hunt for catfish this time since I seen a young lady catch a couple from the bank. I tried cut bait(sunfish) and Danny Kings punch bait and caught 3 keepers one nice one all on Danny Kings. I gave these to a bank fisherman I befriended earlier in the day. I was very pleased with accomodations and the fishing and would highly recommend camping and fishing there.
