Talked to anglers who fished a tournament at Bob Sandlin this past weekend, and the reports were not great, BUT there were some quality fish caught. The fishing could have leveled out the past few days since these anglers were fishing right when the strong front hit. Here is the report.

Ain't skeeerd. Our 2 day is this weekend. I'm gonna be disappointed if we don't have 20 pounds a day.

Ps! If you let the weather, dock talk, or other anglers talking trash affect you- then you are beaten before you even began. I have heard it is miserably tough out there... I don't believe the fish can't be caught... So our goal is 20 pounds a day.

I bet the fish will have settled down now that the weather has been the same the past week. Good luck!

I didn't know you were in that club. I heard the winner caught an 8-pounder, so they're still out there for sure.

My club fished out there earlier this month. 7.16 made BB and 11.62 won the stringer. I caught a ton of fish, but could only manage 2 LM and 3 Spots for my limit. Fishing was good, but the size was off.

Set the hook first, ask questions later!!!

No 8 pounder in our club at Sandlin, 10.45 won it and then we fished Cypress the next day and myself and my partner won it with 10.60.

Sounds like sandlin has been under lots of pressure with all these tournaments, there in there though just can be tough sometimes

I fished Sandlin last weekend for our club championship and was lucky enough to win and take big bass for Saturday w/8.85 lber. Only 2 small keepers w/hog on Saturday and 4 "heads" Sunday for just under 20lbs total. Very tough bite, hopefully the fish have calmed down since the front blew thru.

Actually Stax, we won Sandlin with 11.52! Cmon on man...haha! Found em around creeks on cranks and chatterbaits. And lost a good one under a dock... Good luck to those going out there this weekend!
