Anyone here made the run? If so, about how far is it, and how is the navigation this time of year?

Thanks,
Justin

Should be OK just go slow I've done it in a pontoon several times. Probably 1 hr or so make sure you have a full tank

I actually mapped it out one time. It should be right around 16 total miles by boat to the Hwy 43 brige, and about another 7 to the actual Lake. Pretty good little trip. I've haven't done, but I know a few folks that have.

Set the hook first, ask questions later!!!

I tried in June of this year I hit a piece of concrete in the middle of the channel about a mile from the Jefferson ramp. We went about 10 miles down theriver from Jefferson but we were running out of daylight so we turned around. We were still5 or 6 miles from the lake but the water was getting deeper. We hit the chunk on the way back. The channel was about 2 to 3 feet below full when we were there.

One of the best trips you can make if you like cypress bayous and black water rivers. Recommend an aluminum boat but it ban be done in a glass boat. You won't be disappointed.
