Another option, and some would argue just as good or better, get some maize at the feed store.
I tend to over think fishing. Please help me. When I am over complicating something please kick me in the face. Hard.

there are plenty of guys as well as myself that will give you some to get started. I would suggest using maize as hookbait until you can introduce a few pounds of boilies at a time around your hook bait.
I thank God for each day!

i've used k1 for a very long time and have had good results. i've tried others and it hasn't been the same for me. you don't have to buy kilos or bulk size boilies. if you are not going to chum with them. lots of people just by a couple different flavor bags and use some at a time which will last you a very long time.

All boilies are not created equal, so the cheapest usually aren't the best for catching. If $ is an issue either learn to make your own or use particles (corn, maize, chickpeas, etc)

Making boilies is easier than you think. All you need is a boiling pot, bowl, your hands and a grocery store.
