on my vest this is the knife I carry http://www.austinkayak.com/products/1300/NRS-Pilot-Knife.html.
Otherwise I carry just a small lockblade knife like this one http://www.academy.com/webapp/wcs/stores...es&Ntk=All.

when I camp alone and I am on the river I have this one strapped to my leg. It is a heavy knife at 13.6 oz but it won't fail you no matter what you are doing with it.

here is the link to their website
http://www.highdesertsurvivalschool.com/knives/high-desert-survival-knife/

If I am just out for the day and it is not remote I just use a folding old timer knfe.

I have a drawer of crtk knives and one of them on my vest. It's a tanto but I don't see it on their site. They hold an edge really well!!

My daily carry is a Kershaw onion and its been great too.

All that to say... you can't go wrong with either.

I carry a Cold Steel XL Voyager with a Tanto blade. I've had it for about 18 years. It's the baddest folding knife you can buy for the money. I beat mine to death routinely, and it keeps coming back for more. Takes an edge and holds it, too.

I carry a Cold Steel TrailMaster when I'm going to be in the field for a few days.

CRKT 2604 Hammond A.B.C Aqua Two-sided Knife

Here is what I use I attached it to my molle vest for yaking, mine is for protection and emergencies not cutting bait. Took a while to give it a good edge but that just means it will last longer between sharpenings.

Dive knife

Heinie, I love my Bear Claw, would buy another if I lost mine, even packed it in my luggage and carried it in Honduras while I was fishing there.

I would suggest trying to find one the models with the blunt tip, the straight blade with the sharpened tip (what I have) will reach out and grab you. I really like most everything CRKT makes.

Anyone have experience with the CRKT Bear Claw or Kershaw Sea Hunter?

The Kershaw is a good knife. Very strong and holds a blade nicely.
I don't know about the other one. Is a blunted tip a feature you want?

If I get one for my PFD I'll go with a blunt tip, otherwise I want a point.
