Was at Falcon last week. Saw lots of netters from the Mexican side coming over to the American side to put out their nets. Made a quick call to the TX Game Wardens and they were on the spot very quickly. They did not get the netters because there apparently was a spotter that told the netters that the game wardens were on the way.
They did get the net tho. Don't know how to make the photos show up on here but there were an easy 200 lbs + of fish in the net. GW said they got 2 small bass out and turned them loose. According to the GWs, they see very few bass in the nets. The bass were probably caught in these because the netters used their boats to spook the fish into the net. The GW also said the far more Bass are killed during tournaments than in nets.
If anyone wants to post the photos, I can email them.

Going to be good eating there.
Once the tilapia get shallow that's what they do is run a net across a creek and float the boat inside. Start the big engine and those tilapia scare real easy and will all rush into the net.

I seen a net on Amistad that had about a 4 pound bass in it, it was already dead or I would have tried to free it.

I saw a netter set a net on Tx. side a few years back. He went back to Mexican water and was setting watching his net. I cranked up my big motor idled over to his net while he watched. I pulled out my knife handed it to my buddy told him to cut it loose and tie it to the back cleat, he did. I whistled and waved to the netter and proceeded to cinch his net around a big tree until I couldn't pull it any tighter. Whistled and waved at the netter again, cut it loose and drove off. I hope I made his day.
