Was taking a day off tomorrow, and was wondering if there is enough water to go up the Trinity from Ray Hubbard. The USGS website says the level is 432.33. But I forgot if that is enough water to get through the mouth... Anyone went up there this weekend? How was it?

OK thanks for letting me know. I'll scratch that off the list. How about down below I-30... any suggestions? worth fishing the rip rap (dam/powerpoint jetty, marinas?)

I know this area very well , its still doable but not at an idle if you do not know where the 14 stumps at the power line are exactly and the scattered ones between the power line and the mouth I wouldn't advise it. The level when the guys got stuck last year was just below 431.8 and that was with a south wind which pushes the water up the lake artificially rising the level. If there is a north wind at this level it will be very shallow from the really big stump outside the mouth to depths inside the channel. Also, I was up there saturday in a tournament and the bite was tough, yesterday even tougher so take that for what its worth.

Cant do wrong this time of year on the Rocks, I love the river and run it a lot, but from this point and lower it just isn't a good idea for most folks. I ticked a stump, or chunk of lay down last week, and spun a hub. Same track I always run. So not sure what it was.
