So I was creek fishing the other day, with super small beetle spin, when I hooked a very small bass. He was maybe 8 inches long. I begin to reel him in he does the normal bass then and begins to run like crazy. As he does a larger 4-5 pounder, I would guess, comes out from under the bank and begin to give chase. So I stopped reeling and just let the little guy run. The bigger fish eventually caught up and ate the little guy. So then I began to reel, but unlike every other time I have seen a bass each something it didn't just swallow the little guy. The bigger fish had just caught it in the middle of his body and had begun to swim away. I tried to just play him but the drag jammed on my reel and so I couldn't let him have any line. After about a min he just let go of the fish and swam off. But man the show was great.

Thats awesome i would of free spooled it. Or just pulled the fish away like it got out of the mouth so he would have attacked it again. It happens a lot on videos on youtube where the bigger bass gets its prey and it escapes he Will usually go after it much more aggresive. Most of the time when the bigger fish gets like that he Will just inhale it at that point.

I was fishing a rock pit one day standing on a cliff about 15 ft above the water and hooked a bass that i measured to be 16 inches long, but as I was reeling it in a much bigger bass shot out from under a rock and inhaled half of the fish i had hooked, in shock from seeing this I stopped reeling at wich point the larger fish gave up and swam away, when I reeled in the smaller fish he had marks almost to hus gills from the bite
