Do you think the flounder will start running this weekend with this cold front coming through and sitting for a few days? I have never really targeted flounder much, but I intend to this year. Just looking for some info on when you guys think it will start getting good.

Here in galveston the action is picking up. For the past two weeks people have been catching alot of smaller ones so I would say that yes, it has begun by now

As far as I knew it is open all the time. I have not launched from there in a few years though.

They advertised last year was the first year it was open to fish on the wall--we paid $10 to fish from daylight to dark from the sidewalk along the wall.

A good yardstick to use is first front that puts temp in the 40's. Always worked for me.

From the reports I have read and the fish I have caught we seem to be 1 major cold front away from the keeper size flounder run getting started.
Don't forget that the limit and possession is 2 in November.
