I recently got a few gen 3 Revo SX and I was wondering why my line didn't lay evenly when I spooled it? It's spooled heavier on the right side of the spool. Am I doing something wrong? I spooled all of them with 20 pound Invisx.

I don't know about the Revo. But, I always help hand feed my line to make sure it goes on as evenly as I can get it when I am spooling on.

+1. I use my thump to make sure it goes all the way to each side when I'm filling it. I don't have to do that once the reel is filled with line.

Try holding your line at the first eye. The added drag helps place the line evenly rather than relying totally on the line guide to do all the work.

Another suggestion , after spooling stretch your line and reel it in tight on the spool. That will even it out.

The Berkley line spooling station is very helpful.

Great question. I have one reel that constanty does this. I will try to keep some more pressure on the first eye.

Also, when you tie the line to the spool and begin filling, make sure the knot and line guide pawl are centered before you begin. If your knot is off to one side of the spool or the line guide pawl is not in line with the knot, uneven filling is what will happen every time.
I use a cyclone electric line winder.

Another suggestion , after spooling stretch your line and reel it in tight on the spool. That will even it out. I used to do this, but started worrying about causing line memory. Now I tie to the mailbox and walk the line in, but without so much tension.
