Would be coming from Ft.Worth. thinking about taking the binos and just crusing around looking for some birds. are there any areas to avoid due to hazards? area of lake to start my search?

Sorry for all the questions, all info is VERY appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

North end of the lake is dangerous if not aware of the three buoys that mark shallow water as in" boulders below " . The water level is dropping daily.

+1 on Runaway Bay ramp. It's a little steep, but free and lots of police presence around the ramp when I've been there.

Be careful around the east and north side of Snake island, it gets shallow quick. Don't ask how I know how... hammer

Low water ramp works well in Wise County Park. +1 on the buoys at the north end, also be very careful around the main lake points as they slope way out and way shallow. Nothing but big a$$ rocks under the water out there so take it easy.
