Ok guys I keep reading and researching the new lithium batteries. They seem to be pretty sweet but also at a pretty price tag. Has anyone got any personal experience with them. I like the idea of having one battery that is SUPPOSED to last longer than a normal battery. And the weight would obviously be a help in a bassboat with running and gotta think gas mileage. Maybe not much but some yes. So can anyone help me out? Any experiences?

Keep in mind that they will usually give you no warning that they are going "bad". They will work and then they won't, no gradual fade like we are used to with traditional batteries

I have them. The one I have have a Never Die feature. They get to 10% and shut off you then toggle a switch and you have the reserve. Charge time is 1.5 hrs. Could not run them dead in 3 days of fishing. Stay charged for one year. Weigh less than one 31tm battery.5000 cycles if you discharge to 50% 2500 cycles if you go 80%. Should last ten years. No corrosion. Any questions call me 817.996.3079. Just put some in a friends Skeeter. They are the future. Don

See from what I'm reading, what I gather, is you can buy 1 battery that has 3 banks for a trolling motor? That should eliminate the need for more batteries right? Or am I terribly wrong?

It doesnt seem like Martens would say his batteries weigh 132 pounds if there were only one trolling and one starting battery. Look here at the 36 volt kit. It is three 100ah rated batteries. Unless they have redefined the Amp Hour rating, you will need the biger batteries to be comparable. http://www.lithiumion-batteries.com/prod...battery-kit.php

Yeah, its not even on my radar, I'll just have to go a mph slower and charge my battery longer.

Well if they are three batteries and not just one then blah it's not worth any time in my opinion.
