Well, as I was getting up in my boat at the ramp this morning I noticed that the water was cool COLD on my toes! laugh

Yep, they are getting active. I've spoke w/ several guys who have fished lately and several of them have caught fish in the 30's, heard of a few 40's and even one almost 60. Not alot of them, but it's good to hear / see what's going on. We haven't had any fish in the 50's since July. But lately we have had several 20's, 4 in the 30's and 3 in the 40's. We will start fishing for blues on most catfishing trips from here on out unless customer wants channels. (which bite through winter too)

Seems like the fish haven't got real active up north yet while the better bite still seems to be down south. (that could change any day) We spent just a few hours after hybrid fishing today and found very active blues in 7-14ft on a very sharp drop. By far, the better fish came out of the 7-10ft range. I tried drifting today and caught a few...found fish on sidescan, anchored up on them and that was the ticket. A fish about every 3 minutes for a couple hours. Wind got up and we came on in.

Shad out fished both perch and buffalo today.

Water temp is still 70-71 w/ lots of wind down here.

I have Friday open if anyone wants to go... thumb

Here was a few from today's quickie...

Heck, on some days it feels like we are all rookies! Today was one of those days. Solid 4 hours of fishing...only 15 blues. eeks

Hey, Twok is good to you most of the time, but on some days it can make you eat a big cut of HUMBLE PIE! barf

What a difference a day makes. Just a handful of fish caught today...15 I think. A couple of nice ones though. Even had to use the net for 2 of them.

October fishing...great one day, the next not so great.
