I have a couple of these that really aren't in bad shape other than fact I mistreated them and they ended up in a bag with some soft plastics;

Anyone know how to feed a new skirt through the leg holes? I hate to just pitch it b/c the skirt has seen better days. Ideas (i've tried to do this with other frogs before and just quit out of frustration)?

Make a hook with a paper clip. Easy does it.

65lb power pro braid and a wire to form a makeshift needle.

Feed the needle through both holes and pull the braid out. get the longest skirt material you can find and tie a knot dead center. Tie the braid around the skirt material until it pulls through the opening..and then get the knot inside the body...

You can really add a different dimension to the frogs by customizing the leg colors...good luck

Put some superglue into the empty leg holes then just jam strands in. Very easy, suprisingly solid. If fish start pulling your legs off, then something is wrong and they are not taking your bait.

Here's a pic of how I modified a spro with flashabou that they use for fly tying. Tie the knot like mentioned above. I used hemostats to pull the legs through one of the holes. Helps to open the hemostats inside the leg hole to waller out the hole. Or you could say stretch the hole.

Well, I took a shot using the chickenfried76 approach....

This bait is amazingly difficult to push the hook through.... I'm happy with the legs, but i managed to nick the hook hole and now have a small tear (which will probably lead to water leak faster); Will have to try out and maybe superglue to bind that small crack....

Oh well, i might do better the next time.

Melt a senko or any soft plastic over the tear and it should seal the hole

I had about 8 spro frogs that the skirt material dried out and began to crumble away. What I did was as mentioned above with the paperclip and braid. I also took it a step further on a few and just did something totally different. On a few I removed the bait keeper from a large swimbait hook. I attached the bait keeper to a medium sized swivel and forced the swivel inside the opening for the skirt material. I used 3-4" grubs and threaded them on the keepers to act as legs. I did the same thing with the swivel on another only this time I installed small willow blades in the place of the grubs to act as legs. I have caught fish on both designs and each offer something completely different. However, they remain pond lures because nothing replaces the original design since that is what my confidence is in.

That stuff just flat out rocks. Every screw or nut that vibrates loose on my boat gets a quick dab of that before it goes back in/on...never have to worry about that one again.
