 Good day on Rayburn!!!!

Made my first trip down to Rayburn yesterday since I was 15 years old and big Sam didn't disappoint ... I was idling out of a creek and graphed a good school sitting on a ledge , told my brother to hang tight while I dropped a flutter spoon . First cast I catch a 1 pound catfish, just after I land it a guy prefishing for the bassmaster weekend championship pulls up and just starts watching us. 5 min in to throwing the spoon I made a cast down the length of the ledge , the spoon never hit bottom , I set the hook into what felt like a stump , she came to the surface and jumped and spit the spoon out . The fish looked to be in the 12lb. Range Very next cast I stick this 9.7lb monster . Sorry for the long story but it was 2 cast I will never forget .

Been fishing Rayburn my entire life probably 25 days a year and you haven't beat haha.

Yeah he dropped several waypoints on that ledge and dropped a spoon on it for the rest of the day !!! He was still sitting there when I left late in the afternoon .

Great bass and story. Rayburn is tougher this year than I have ever seen it. Do not fish it much but I know they are there.
