If you happen to catch a big fish , can you actually sell it and make $$ ?
If so where can you take it to sell in the Galveston area ?

Not a chance. The fish belongs to the people (the state) and you can't sell a perch without a commercial license.
Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

What about these people I read about that catch the huge tuna that are worth $100,000's?

That's not in TX or US federal waters. Its in the waters of another nation (lots of times Japan) or international waters.
Or they have a commercial license...
Or its a shady situation.

sounds like your watching to much T.V. most of the shows are BS and cost 100's of 1000's of dollars to start. Member it takes money to make money. Unless your OB then you could just print it.

Whether is a legal size or not, its ILLEGAL to sell ANY fish without a commercial license.

What about these people I read about that catch the huge tuna that are worth $100,000's? Those guys are commercial fisherman. Even chartering on one of those boats they keep and sell the fish. Some boats give the angler a cut or refund the charter cost.
If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.
