The place is very fun to fish as the timber and such Clear lake has very few big fish but as to working for fish very fun. I keep looking for crappie in the timbers but yet to find any. Lot of small bass in the lake but very bass Hunter or small boat works well. Tubes would work to in this lake.

I put in today at Robertson Park at 635 and GB. It's on the bank fishing map. First cast was a five. Good fishing there and it's not over fished. Only thing is, you have to walk about thirty yards to get to the water. But when it's fishing time, does that really matter?

Seen and drive by that park all the time and never thought to try it out...a Fiver on your first cast...peeks my interest alot more now...

Hmmmmmm.......That is awefully close to the house. I may brave this weekend front and see what happens. Did you get anything on the second or third cast? Any cast after that?

I've caught a lot of crappie in clear lake at LBJ grasslands, caught them all on baby brush hogs. I used to tube out there also, it was great. Now I have a kayak so I use it, also very friendly out there. I'm headed out there either Wednesday or Thursday. There's some really big bass in clear lake, you gotta get through all the dinks though. Winter has been my best time for the big girls

You can fish any of the big lakes in a Bass Buster as long as you stay in the creeks. I used to fish Little Mustang, Caney Creek and Wilson Creek at Fork in mine. Launch at East Fork Park on Lavon and fish up and down the cove when the water is a decent level. Dangerfield State Park in another small lake you can put that boat on. Launch it at Hwy 78 and the river that goes between Lavon and Hubbard.

I have been fishing the creeks on two bigger lakes the past few months. Lynn Creek park at Joe Pool has produced well for me and works well since the creek starts right by the boat ramp. Plenty of decent bass in there as well as crappie this time of year. The only issue for some is that there is a $10.00 parking/day use fee. I have been hitting White Rock Lake also. You can put in anywhere and make a lap in around 5 hours. Bring a good charge, paddle, and an anchor. The wind can get pretty brutal out there so either drift to a spot and anchor or stay in the creek on the NE side of Mockingbird.
