I am looking to put together a new jig rod/reel but really hate unitaskers so I was wondering what y'all would get to use as a combo jig and frog rod that won't kill my wallet.
I'm thinking a 7' Hvy TFO or Veritas and a Pro Qualifier would do the trick at right around $200 (before I spool it with braid).
Talk amongst yourselves.

7 foot St Croix Premier-- heavy fast or a 7'6" heavy fast. These rods are much heavier action than a Falcon heavy action or a Duckett heavy action rod. If you are serious about jig fishing this is what you want. Also an American Rodsmith "Perfect flippin stick" is a good one too. You will lose less fish with them.

6'10" Heavy Falcon Lowrider 7 to 1 ratio reel spooled with 20lb floro is what I use for most T-rig and jig fishing, if I making longcast, like dragging a football jig on a point, I'll use my 7'6" Falcon CARA

7' denali jade wood worm and jig rod will cover your TX rig jig flipping frog or anything else heavy. Throw an Abu Garcia revo s on it and you'll gave a light weight super sensitive sturdy combo for a little over $200

Talk amongst yourselves. I have the 7' H Veritas and it is much more of a worm rod than a jig or frog rod. The 7'3 H should do the trick for you.

Go with 7'0 med/hvy fast action. You should be able to throw jigs, tx rigs, spinnerbait, chatter, swim jig, light carolina. 7'0 med/hvy is most versatile rod you will be happy with it.

7`11 St. Croix Mojo Bass Rod w/J Morris signature series LH baitcaster 7.1:1 .I`am tall so i like a long rod and it helps to be able to take up as much line as possable - w/speed reel it`s unbeliveable .Can pitch 1/4 jigs and up w/ no problems . Boated some really nice bass on jigs/spot removers/t- rigs this year.Add some 20# fluorocarbon and it make a great weightless set up for flukes/creature baits.
Go Fishing,Good Luck!!!! Backlash2/Lenny
