I'm interested in this rod. Nobody close to me has it and I really don't want to order one just to find out it's not really what I need at this time.
I believe I read in Bassfan that the winner of last week's FLW Rayburn tourney, Phil Marks, was throwing the new SK 10XD on that exact rod. That makes me think the rod's got a really light tip and may not be really ideal for anything heavier than 2-3 ounces at most.
Hoping to get some comments from some of you who have handled and/or actually used this rod.

Power Tackle makes more than one swimbait rod. The lightest action is MH and handles lures up to 6 oz.

You talking about the PG105 I sold on the TFF? It's a TUNA rod.

No Dan, he's talking about the either the SBP4 or 5 I think. It's an 8 foot rod. I love my GMS 105!

Love mine for Falcon and the Bell. I'm with you. The 104.5 was my norm. If I knew exactly where the fish was and it was time for hardcore hand to hand I broke out the 105. The rod weighs like 25 pounds.

There's only one swimbait rod advertised on Power Tackle's website and that's the SB-5. The SBP-5 is the same rod, but with a different handle. I believe one's the full handle and the other's the split grip.
This is the rod I'm referring to: the swimbait special.

i can speak of the sb5, its an awesome rod. it has a moderate fast tip so you dont pull the bait from the fish when they load up. also, it has plenty of backbone to throw the biggest baits and boat the biggest fish while still offering the right parabolic bend. the SBP-5 has the palm support reel seat and the SB-5 has fuji ACS. both rods are split grip.

Guess I need to get in to this conversation...yes, we do have several swimbait models and some models are not on the site. Thanks to those who have spoken up...Phil actually used our newest model, a 7'11" swimabit/umbrella rig rod. It was a 4 power, though we also have a 5 power one too. Line size 20-#60 and lure weight 1-6 oz. It is rated mod.fast/Heavy. The 5 power is rated mod.fast/Mag.Heavy, line size 25-#80 and lure weight 2-6 oz. I can put a EVA foregrip on it or leave it off. Of course they both feature the Recoil guides.
feel free to give me a call if you have any other questions about this model or any others.
