Needing to buy a new cranking battery, got to get one big enough to crank my 200hp yamaha, run livewells and other stuff plus keep my HDS 10 And HDS 5 runnimg without low voltage alarm or shutting off. Thinking about getting a series 24 interstate battery it has 800CCA and 1000MCA olus 130 or so RC Min. Are the interstate battery any good? I had a Everystart MAXX 27 dual purpose but i cant find the MAXX battery at any Wally World in Longview, Any suggestions on CB need to get one tomorrow.

If you are going to be out there all day long with all that running a 27 size or even better a 29 series battery is what you may need. I have a friend that owns a gas station and he says that the interstate batteries he sells uses virgin lead and the ones that wally sells uses reconstituted lead and his are betterDont know how he knows.

I don't know how he knows either. The idea of virgin lead is valid if you can be sure that's what you are getting. I was told this same story about Trojan batteries. I use the 27 series size and I run an 18' champion with a 150. Livewells, bird 997 and 797 and no problems yet. I also use them for my deep cycle 24 volt.

Drop some cash and get the Sears Diehard Platinum PM-1. Monster of a battery and has one of the best warranties out there.
This battery is one of the best.

I agree with Tex. I got 4 Sears Diehard Platinums. Never turn anything off and that Diehard cranks my 225 Yamaha over with a bump of the key.
