I would love to fing some creeks and little water ways that i could walk and fish in. Community lakes are ok but I'm, from east Texas and im accustom to just finding little creeks and fishing for hours just walking the banks. Is there anything like that around here. I fished the creek that runs with 377 in Haltom City (the one that floods really bad) and caught alot of dinks and im pretty sure they would glow if you turned out the lights, the water is filthy. I love to catch and like to take a few home now and then.

Fossil Creek is the main creek that I know of. The only good spot I know to fish that is by 35 and western center. Even though I grew up in the area I didn't get into fishing until the past year or so, so I can't think of too many creeks around here. There is always the trinity (too many pcb's around here though). I like denton creek, it's a good hiking spot but that's a bit up north.
I've seen Arcadia park mentioned on here, when I went to check it out the creek didn't have much water so I don't know how good it is to fish.
This is the address, 77613 ARCADIA TRAIL fort worth. It's near Keller, has Frisbee Golf Course.
There is also Bear Creek park in Keller but I think that is fished a lot too. It's a bit of a community pond.
I've been thinking about studying some google maps satelite images of the lakes to see how many decent looking feeder creeks there are. It would be nice to find some gems in this area.

i was just looking at some satalite maps and noticed what looks like flood control ponds in keller on queensbridge rd. it looks to be 4 or 5 connected little ponds, they might be worth checking out.

Bear Creek is pretty good once you get away from the parks. I fish the area where it runs thru Bedford and Hurst. I get down in the creek channel and will hike it for 2 or 3 hours. Lots of hidden treasures in there.

There is a creek off Mid-Cities Blvd and Davis Blvd. Once you go east on Mid-Cities after crossing Davis about less then half mile. You will see a new apartment complex south of Mid-Cities. There is a creek next to the apartment complex. That creek is loaded with bass! Fished there several times...caught a few 3 to 5 lbers! Always catch fish there. Anyone can fish there. You can see the creek while driving on Mid-Cities if you look south. Pm me if you need better direction. Good luck

I always see this area called Garden of Eden on google maps that's south of 121 before you get to 820. Apparently it's some old historical neighborhood. I notice there are a lot of ponds in that area. Anyone know if those have fish or are they just drainage or from construction?
It's so hard to tell, it seems like a lot of things on the map are going to be a part of new neighborhoods. I think we'd have to get away from the urban and developing areas.

I never really fished but I have seen many people doing so. I will get out there and give them a try. These are about 2 miles from my house.

Off 360/Mid Cities there is acces to bear creek again and it's pretty decent in some places. As far as pond fishing check out Chesapeak Park in Keller or the lake behind Harvest Christian on 377

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME THERE! I've spent so many hours this summer and have yet to pull out a bass over 1 pound, and i've caught over 50 of em. it's over populated and they're all dinks.
