Anyone fish this little lake. I looked on google earth and see there are 2 seperate parts of the lake and wondered which side would be better. Never fished it before and could use some general info. I can even offer a back seat to anyone wanting to go with me. I plan on going Saturday am. Any help is appreciated.

Fished it about a year ago. It is LOADED with black bass however the crappie that we did catch were very good fish! Only caught 5 but they were all really good fish, worked hard for them ( BUT I KNOW THEY ARE THERE) plenty of brush. Good Luck!

Kenneth, The two lakes you are referring to are Lake Jacksboro (to the south) and Lost Creek (to the north). I have fished both (Lake Jacksboro once and Lost Creek about 3 times). Lake Jacksboro is stained and has no standing timber. Lost Creek is clear. You can see you bait 3-5 feet below the surface and is full of standing timber. I have never done good on either. But fish should be there. I just didn't figure them out. Good Luck,

Wishin, wife and kids dragged me to State Parks for hiking, picnicking and ugg jogging during the spring. One visit was Lost Lake. I haven't forgotten the clear water and timber I saw while I was stumble jogging through the park. I live in the metro mess and every time I suggest fishing it my fishing friends talk me into a closer location. Hope you find em there and I hope to go soon!

It's a beautiful little lake and you'd think it would be chock full of crappie but I haven't been able to catch em there. Biggest problem I have with it is driving hwy 380 over Bridgeport Lake and not stopping.

Thanks for the info fellas.......I plan on going Saturday am.....I travel 199 everyday so a few more miles down the road is not a big issue. I would go to B'port, but the lake levels fluctuate so much i find it difficult to fish. I live west of Springtown and can be at either lake in about the same amount of time. I will post results next week.....I still have an empty backseat if anyone wants to tag along.

I have fished Lost Creek. Its a nice clear water lake. Never crappie fished there, but have caught some nice ones while bass fishing. I too live west of Springtown. I've been hitting Bridgeport more often, but am thinking about going to Lost Creek this weekend since its suppose to be windy.

Kenneth (WishinFishin) and I just got off of Lake Jacksboro. It was a fair day. We caught a few keepers, lost a few and probably threw a couple back that should have went into the live well. With the few dinks thrown in, I'll say not too bad. At least, we got our lines stretched. Kenneth, thanks for letting me have the back seat. We gotta fish again sometime. I really enjoyed the day.

No problem and I too enjoyed the company. Give me a call whenever you want to go again.
