I just found a good deal on some breathable hodgman guide pants at academy. Regular price 56.99 on clearance for 10.88. I figure since they are breathable they should be half way comfortable and at the same time keep me dry. I already have a wading jacket and 2 other pairs of waders but figure these may be more comfortable than chest high neoprenes or even the chest high breathables. I am going to have to find the right shoes to allow me to have protection and grip when launching but that can wait until next time... I also noticed some garmin 2008 gps nav discs regular 99.99 for 9.99 too bad for me i use lowrance which I don't think would be compatible. Well, thats all for the deals I found at Academy today. Have a good one!

I prefer the Mesquite location. Better deals and a whole lot more fishing goodies

Staying dry is not usually part of my plan if its warm out. If its warm and raining, usually just the frog togg top. If the water is warm I enjoy hanging my feet over the sides. If its cool and raining, frogg toggs and breathable waders with neoprene booties. Fleece underneath if its real cold. I prefer not to fish if it's real cold and raining both.
Soon I will start taking extra clothes in a dry Bag with me or leave some sweats in the truck Just in case.

Almost any time of year I just wear the Columbia or Magellan fishing pants. They wick water away and don't soak through too much if at all. I do have breathable waders for the Dec-Mar time frame. A wading jacket on top and good to go.

I really don't worry about staying dry unless it's cold. If it's around 50 degrees I have a rain suit I wear with sweats under and neoprene boots ankle high. When it gets real cold I go to my Farmer Johns with under armor upper and bottoms, UA socks neoprene boots and rain suit over all that. I'm good that way to about 25 degrees. Below 25 you can't find me on the water for one reason.

I'm guessing you're preparing for the cold season? I'm thinking so because most don't really worry about getting wet in the warmer months.
I fished through the winter months in Louisiana with temps in the 20's and 30's, it's not bad if you're dressed right. If you were wondering about cold weather gear that keeps you dry let me know and I'll list the gear that I wear.

Just took advantage of those $10 hodgmans.... Last pair they had, thanks for the heads up...they seem a little bulky, but for $10 it's worth a shot....

Clay, we'll need to get together, I'm over in Aubrey, we have a small group up North here that get together from time to time to fish and find new places to fish. I'll let you know next time we have something planned.

Yeah guys this will be my first fall/winter season with my ride 135. I am really just wanting to be prepared... Thanks I have an old ride 135, and it is a very wet ride. I normally wear breathable waders in the winter, with frog Toggs over the top. I now prefer to take my wife's native ultimate when winter fishing, but I usually still wear the same gear.

Yeah, I'm really looking forward to the high seat release. The guys at Mariner say it should be available come November. Clay, I'm glad you got a hold of a pair. I just figure i can later underneath them and stay warm and dry.
