We had a good day. The wind was wrong for what I wanted to do, so we just put in our time jamming the radio and cuttin up while drifting some fresh cut bait. It wasn't until our 3rd spot that we found where they were. The son caught 10 about this size we cut loose, and some small channels we took home and fried up. He caught a real nice 1 but I took a terrible pic on my phone cause he couldn't really hold him. its fun to do nothing but get the net and bait the hooks. Lol. This is his year, he wants a giant. Thanks to micheal littlejohn for info where the big shad can be caught.

Thanks guys. The hard part is getting him away from the Xbox. Lol now he has the bug and wants to go for it again, and maybe have a shot at that big one. I'm just glad to have the time with him, watching him have a blast outside is what its all about.

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach
