Water was perfect, incoming tide. I have never seen the amount of fisherman that was there today..Millions of Croaker were there
for sure, so many in fact they kept bumping in to my waders.It was hard to get anything past them. I did manage to catch two flounder both under limit size.
I did not see anyone else catch much other then Croaker.
Talked to few other fisherman, same story, too many small Croaker.

we ended up catching 7 bull reds over 35 inch by the time we left at 2

can you believe there were so many people there..
I was in a grey shirt, brown waders, fish straight out from the path that goes back to the road.
You got to be the best fisherman out there, cause not many were catching much.I do not think many were fishing for reds..Most were after flounder..Maybe Ill try some reds in the am.

And here in a few weeks those people fishing for flounder that didnt get much will have full stringers and ill be pulling in untouched bait from the channel. I dont consider myself good at all, im just consistently lucky and I have only gotten this far by paying attention and listening to all the wise guys out there that actually know what theyre talking about

I left about 10.30. I was not there when the game warden was checking . They usually check pelican island often, when there is that many people.
My waders have a waterproof pouch for id and license.

More info please!Is it you caught a bunch of thick fat fish.They are stacked up like pan cakes thick,Or is this place pelican island is thick with people every where?Or is it there is so many game warden out there that they are thick with game warden.

I fished outside and inside Seawolf Park this past Saturday and Sunday. There were a lot of wade fishermen on both mornings, but most fish were undersized. People fishing with live finger mullet seemed to have better luck. A lot of croakers were nibbling at artificials like someone said earlier.

that many small croakers in there, should free line live croakers, let them swim, because they would be the natural forage fish
