 Bachman is Starting to get in Shape for Crappie Season

Took the patched up two man out to Bachman today with one of my longest term fishing buddies, shore fisherman par excellence, Arnold Guzman, for some "preseason" crappie fishing. Between 12:30 and 3 pm, we jigged in my Christmas trees, in about 14 ft of water. Found a few crappie about 10 ft down, in the trees. Smallest crappie we caught was 10.5 inches, the rest were considerably bigger! We only caught and strung up 7, but for a "maiden voyage"(to see if my patches were gonna hold up and not leak), and so early in the season, not too shabby! we were happy, cause if the rains come, the weather cools, and the winds lay, it's only gonna get better! the whole string:  Arnold with 3 nice ones:  Tube jigs, UL gear, 6 lb test, 1/16 th oz jig heads, UNPAINTED, and color of tube did not matter, we got 7 fish on 5 or 6 different colors. Whats the max hp on a outboard motor out there?? is it like WRL a max of 9.9hp....
