A customer of mine is driving down from Iowa to fish Ray Roberts next week. He's going to try it, as well as probably Fork and Ivie. I really don't recall ever having even been on Ray Roberts myself. He called me to ask if I could try and get some suggestions for him as to depth, bait type and such on Ray Roberts. Thanks guys. Any help would be appreciated.

Tell him to go out of Buck creek west toward Jordan and try creeks especially in back and where there's grass.

Use shad colored squarebills and shad topwaters.

Caught 18 last Friday that way.

Thanks guys. That will help him a lot! He was a guide trip client of mine from last year that loves to catch Texas bass. He has a friend in Houston that's going to meet up with him and just to out and have some fun. When he called a little over a month ago, I told him not to go to Ivie. So, he looked at alternate lakes. Now, Ivie is on FIRE!!! 20 to 30 fish a day is the norm now, on top water! So, going to tell him he needs to hit Ivie too for sure.

I would launch at Jordan and fish around wolf island or sandbranch, Fish a Frog over the grass and a texas rig senko.

Thanks guys. I talked to him tonight and it looks like he's going to head on down next week. He was hoping the fish were biting there. He was wanting to see some new lakes this trip down.
