Myself, Fred "Rionator" and Mike "USMC_GY" fished Lake Austin and the bite was on. We fished from 9am till 3:00pm and boated over 100 fish. The sky was overcast most of the trip and we even caught a few showers while on the lake. Redbreast in the 8 to 11 inch range, Bluegill in the 8 to 10 inch range, and some nice Redear in the 8 to 10 inch range were caught. We also caught some very nice Red Spotted Sunfish that were in the 5 to 6 inch range. Rounding off the catch were several nice Bass that were in the 12 to 17 inch range. Fish were caught using Gulp Curly Tail's,live worms, and jigs. Rapalas and small crank baits were used also. Bottom techniques, Drop shot method, and float techniques were all used. Fish were in 7 to 14 feet of water and all were healthy and full of fight. All fish were released to fight again. A great day on a super lake. It don't get any better than that! fish

I haven't made a report in a while. Been fishing alot on LBL getting my winter honey holes back in order.
Lance, LA is a lake you need to hit at least once before winter hits and they sink deeper in the hydrilla. Esp the bigger ones. The time is now.

Thanks Ash for the reply. You are 100 percent right on the money. cheers Now is the time to fish any of the river lakes before winter sets in. The Sunnies are very active right now looking for food before winter. thumb

Side Note: The Rios are already getting harder to find. peep

Are the patterns about the same on the three River lakes of the Guadalupe River as are on the three River lakes on the Colorado River in the Austin Area. Mainly Dunlap,Mcqueeney, and Placid to Travis, Lake Austin, and Lady Bird Lake. Just Curious. noidea
