Matt: The family crew you had today is my friend from Joshua. He is the owner of the feed store. Looks like they did real good.

Had a great trip with Matt yesterday and It did not come easy. Matt earned it and used every technique I have ever heard of and a few I laughed at, that was until I yelled "FISH ON !" Multiple double hook ups, very nice whites, early AM the Hybirds were just short of legal, we threw back 3-1. I am not joking we had a dozen that were 1" or less short of legal.

Hard to believe anyone would leave working birds and fish busting the surface to look for more fish, but we did it at least 3 times.
I said, but we are catching nice fish Matt said not good enough I want Quality Fish, my nephew laughed and said These are some of the nicest fish we have ever caught, Matt Said We will do better, and we did. Finished the day with some nice quality fish, definitely my Hybird PB on this trip.

Thanks Matt
We will see you next month
Derek

Thanks
D

The good news is we have been catching tons of 16" hybrid. If we have a good LTSA stocking, we oughta be in good shape !

I am guessing four feet low give or take. Haven't looked at Sabine River Authority website lately, but saw 3.9 low on the news this weekend. Seems about right judging from the waterline around the ramp. Fishing has been pretty good, but not awesome like you would think for October and cloudy days. Fish are biting better about lunch time than they are early. I need to fish an afternoon or two and check to see if that's when the big mamas are playing.

Yesterday was pretty good, but it took a lot of work running them down. Today was a C & R trip and went much the same. No great big mamas, but a lot of numbers and fun thumb
