I wa wondering when does the season close for slatwater fishing in the texas gulf? Cause we are planning a trip in december or november and was wondering which fish can we target to catch?

Open all year. You'll probably be looking for kingfish or blackfin tuna.

If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.

depends on what you're fishing for. there's different seasons for different species. I would highly recommend picking up a
TPW rule book anywhere they sell fishing licenses, It has EVERYTHING you need to know .
As far as what can be expected, it would depend on where you
intend to fish (& how).
typically the pelagics are further out in the winter, but red snapper is open inside the 9nm limit. plenty to be had, just gotta understand the rules & figure what you wanna do.
good luck, & welcome to the TFF!

no state regs are not same as fed.state waters (out to 9nm)
ARE open all year for ARS. make sure you use your
track feature on your GPS to prove where you
have (& haven't smile ) been.

If you go out of PA, the first set of rigs are well within the the 9 mile range. I think they are more like around 3 miles. My suggestion is actually to go to PO, I have much better luck there. The big rig straight out from the jetty is right at around 9 miles and I fish it all the time. You probably will not catch Kings this time of year, but should be able to hook into some spanish macs. Also this time of year is real good at the end of the big jetty for bull reds.
