Attention fly fishing enthusiasts!! The Fort Worth Fly Fishers will be having their 2nd annual Fall Fling Event on the 27th of October. They are planning on this one being the best yet. New location, which is much more user friendly. Camp Hoblitzelle in Midlothian. This site has an awesome pavilion, lake, and so much more to offer. Here is the link for the location. http://www.hoblitzelle.com/index.asp This years Fling will have the following events, and they could use your support to make it the best one yet. - Fly tying with many experts throughout the state - Fly tying materials estate sale - Fly casting help and games with CCI's from North Texas - Fishing at the camps lake, kayaks and tubes welcome. lifeguard will be provided - Kayak instructions and demo* - Classic gear demonstartion and possible swap - Equipment demos - Fly fishing presentations about North Texas Waters - Raffles and give aways - Lunch provided *The Kayak Instruction Pro Staff/Fishing Team will be doing an interactive demonstration of "fly fishing from the kayak" on the water. We will also have demo kayaks available for you to take out on the lake for a short demo ride with your fly rod in hand.

This will be a great event. Free food, free fishing, and free fly fishing/tying information. It is aimed at anyone from those that live and breathe fly fishing to those that have never touched a fly rod before. Everyone is welcome to attend! Bring your friends and family.
If you have a fly that you would like to demonstrate how you tie it, or have a fly tying technique that you would like to share, send me a PM and I will get you the details about participating in this event.

Yes, eveyone come. Thanks Jerry for posting. having a hard time getting flyer on forum. the fly tying materials we have are awesomne, and are for sale. lifeguard on duty so bring your boats and tubes. free food. tiers, casting. no schedule, just come and do your own thing. 8am-5pm. can get on the water at 9am.

Count me in ! I will be there with my new YAK and my new fly rod. Maybe someone can teach how to cast this thing !! lol
I swear I caught so many fish that the water level went down!
