Are they too sticky? Does the oily feeling turn you off? Do you like it on the lures or in the bag?

Some manufacturers go overboard and put way too much oil on the baits and it leaks out of the bags. Sometimes I will spray scent in a bag so it will soak into the plastic.

I dont know what is it in, but both of my labs will gobble up any plastic bait you leave laying around.

Just FYI... Mineral oil will turn your soft plastics stiff.

I like Crawlic it seems to work real well. I do not think that the oils actually hamper the bite it can only help bring attention to your bait, keep the bait in the fishes mouth more, and keep plastics longer. This is only a guess though what do yall think?

I'm convinced that while it may not attract fish from a distance,it can make the difference between a sniffer and a biter.

Maybe CUTriton would weigh in on this, but my understanding is that the oil is to keep the baits from sticking together. As far as the scent goes...my guess is that is for our benefit. I don't know how well a fish can smell--or taste for that matter. And I'm sure a quick google search will give me far too much to read.
