Great unit for its size
Ducers should be available anywhere they sell them. A larger variety of graphs use that same one

I have a 520C, and love it. I want to upgrade one day to the side imaging, but this one is still doing phenomenal!!!! One on front and console of the Ranger. Transducers are at most any store that sells lowrance. I actually have a brass through hull on my Z21. NEVER have to worry about knocking it off the back of the boat again!

The 520c is rock solid and way more reliable than an HDS5. In other words it will not break. The GPS response time is better as well.

Question: I have one mounted in the bow as well. I have it hooked up to the transducer built in to my Minn Kota. It tends to lose bottom showing 0.8' then after a bit will go back to reading true as compared to my HDS10 at the console. Have tried changing the transducer type in the setup menu, but still has same issue. Any ideas? Anyone else come across this issue?

The HDS units are known for losing depth when you pull the t-motor up with the transducer running unless you put the unit on standby first before lifting the motor and than taking the unit off standby when your drop the motor back down.

Sent back several 520c's. They eventually sent back a HDS 5 at no charge. We were ready to write off Lowrance until they did that.

Check out Hodges marine for a transducer. They have a lot of electronics including parts, and good prices.
