Why do people not know, pack in, pack out? Some messy spots out there. Dang.
I might not catch them all, but I try to.

One of the first things I noted about fishing in Texas is TRASH. Sometimes I pickup more trash on the bank then I have at home for a week. Sucks! And the plus side is I find more fishing tackle and gear then I want at times and bait too.

I pick up litter around two parks in my area on a regular basis. Have found many pocket and kitchen knives, spoons, forks, can openers, etc. Best find was a big CASE two blade folding knife......handles worn smooth and pretty from use and age.....a real functional beauty.
****Sun sinking low....lines baited.....gentle south breeze blowing...you realize.........I AM! .

And the plus side is I find more fishing tackle and gear then I want at times and bait too. Got to agree with that! It only takes a few idiots that trash a place to make all of us look bad. No wonder there is a lot of No Trespassing and No Fishing signs out on places to fish. Just my two cents.

Yeah its gross and makes the lake look gross and makes me lose my appetite for keeping any fish from a trashy banked lake.

I carry an empty 5-gallon bucket, trash bags, and grabber in my truck. The easiest way is to pick up trash with the grabber, put it in the bucket, and when full transfer it to the bag. This gives me a sense of accomplishment and I've also found lots of useful stuff.

I've often wondered what drives a person to throw a tire off a bridge and into a creek/river.Or a water heater for that matter.

I truly cannot understand people who leave all kinds of trash while doing any outdoor activity. They are destroying the very area that the have gone to in the first place! This really sickens me and ticks me off.
I always pack out my trash, and try to pick up at least on equal amount of other peoples garbage when I am leaving. I have asked others to pick up their trash with mixed results.
I agree with the statement that many people simply do not respect nature anymore. It also ticks me off with I see people throwing trash out of the car or truck with driving.

I just packed 3 trash bags in my back pack. One big one, and 2 small ones. The big one will be for the next trip out (here in a few minutes). And the small ones will be for keeping up with who ever leaves there trash. The spot I go to has a lot of trash. Up on the hill of the bank is a lot of bottles and cans. They are kind of hidden, but now that fall and the drout are here, the tall grass and weeds are thin and you can really see up there now...
Did you see the size of that chicken?!.
