Every time it says freshest data is available it downloads to 80% and stops. Any advice??

Hello E8C,
Paul from Navionics. Common occurance. What may be happening is that when it gets to a certain point there is a lot of data being transferred. it'll zip right along and then look like it stopped. just leave it go. it will suddenly jump from 80 to 92 or similar. This has been a common question as when it stops people think it stopped working. We are modifying a few things to try and help with that. The updates take a while. just be patient. a lot of new data being added in some cases.

big Red, $99 beats a brand new chart at $149 or $199. the idea is to save you money to get the latest lake releases, new structures, additonal contours, new safety data to keep you and your boat safe, new saltwater bottom details, etc.... this can be done daily as many times as you want for a full year. Its up to you on how often you want to do it. people used to wait until January and buy a new chart then for full retail. we would save all the new stuff until that time so a once a year imporvements and new data. Now at $99 we release it as we get it. For example this year we have already added over 800 new HD lakes not counting new shaded structure areas, road beds, creek channels, etc...

I guess mine expired to download free. Not paying $99 to do it for a year. Not worth it. They aren't that good.

They should give a option on what lakes you want updated instead of all that's on the card there's got to be a way for this with all the technology now days.

+1

Two of my cards just expired, not worth renewing for $100...
