Anyone in DFW ever had their trolling motor shaft cut down and know some place to get it done?

I bought a Terrova with iPilot a while back and all that were available were 60". Been dealing with it, but would really be happier if it were like 52" or maybe 54" for my boat.

Boris in fort worth can do the job. They made my shaft longer and almost sure they can make yours longer. Contact Don there and he will give you a answer.

Did a 60in Pro Maxxum couple of years ago. Was`nt a big problem other than the synthetic shaft was not concentric when reinstalling the drive gear inside of the shaft. Cut off top of shaft with a pipe or large tubing cutter, drill for drive gear screws.

I was told to make mine longer I would have to buy a new $200 mount, does that sound right?
