I took a look at the WRC bend yesterday for the heck of it. Completely over grown at this point. Needs a good cold snap to bring the crappie and kill the vegetation. Figure the regulars will be clearing things out soon either with foot traffic or tools.

Looks like there is two new trees down causing a trash jam. One right a the start of bend going down stream towards the lake. Then one way down stream but before NW HWY. That one is a big tree, I am wondering if the city might do something about that one.

Monday was my first time taking my canoe in WRC and I stayed for 10 hours.
I caught 32 white bass 8-10 inches long , 2 lmb the biggest being 14 inches , and one
26 inch blue cat. My best day fishing ever. I caught all the bass on a 1/4 oz.
Orange rooster tail and the cat fish on a jug line with fresh cut shad. All fish
were released except the catfish. He will be dinner tonite. The water was cool and clear till about a foot below the surface. This creek is alot more cleaner than rowlett creek.
The fish were even nicer looking than what I've been catching at rowlett creek.

yup some years those whites get in there and u can catch every cast. . sometimes bigguns

Any good places for bank fishing access?

u can pretty much fish any where above w. lawther. sometimes u gotta find spots that no one goes to and make ur own path or fish thru the bushes!!! i wouldnt fish at that bend unless u are willing to fish next to someone who isnt afraid to cross your line. I usually go at night time anyways, catch more fish at night then i do in the day. WRC is more of a night or morning time fishin spot. good luck guys
