7 more days till Falcon Bound........ cant wait. its been 3 years since I have been and we are going to filming the new Grande Bass baits and such........ The last time I went my hand was bleeding becuase of all the fish we caught. I understand the fishing is not that good as it was 3 years ago. Any advice?

If I was going with all this new water in I'd go shallow and fish the new flooded stuff. Squarebill, blade and flip with a big jig. But that's also my favorite way to fish. I'd also try stay north since I'd think those fish would have had time he used to new water and water color up there

Fished 6 days last week { sun country }. Winning stringers came on deep divers { chart. cirtus shad. We did fair flipping jigs in brush in 5-8'of water. had 17.70# w/ 3 fish limit. Second place 57# { 3 days} came across from county ramp on ledge next to private boat ramp off a good ledge. Go by falcon tackle and pick up some Billy Bass 7" brush hogs in dark colors and c. rig them. There is a good rocky point off 1st cove north of valeno bridge on east side. Had 2 that went13# on c. rig.Four out top 5 came around dam and deep end. good luck and let us know how you do.

The lake is very low. Not many people caught fish this last weekend. Got lucky and caught a 9 & a 5. That was it.

Pil I know the ledge your talking about and it's a bad sum gun sometimes.! That's right in front if billy, owner of TLC, house.

I'll be heading down there on the 13th for three days. All the new water will make it interesting. I'm hoping that it settles down before we get there and the water color gets more typical. I went down there in 2008 after that lake filled up completely following flooding up river worked its way down to Falcon and we struggled. Our best luck then was isolated deep water trees off main lake points. Couldn't even access the bank in most places because of flooded brush and trees. Shouldn't be as bad this time, obviously. I think as long as the water settles down, fishing the freshly flooded weeds with spinner baits and square bills may be the way to go. Perhaps even small soft swim baits will work. We'll find out soon enough though. As always at Falcon, I'll be prepared to fish deep divers and large soft plastics as well.

Heading down next Tuesday.....will be my first trip there...really looking forward to it !!!!
