I'm still learning and I have no idea how to catch them shallow. There is only 3 piles that I know of and they weren't in them seemed to me they were all scattered. I caught 2 bass and a small channel cat.

Im not trying to guess.... I encourage you both to go and try it out. Can't miss the brush piles. Some goofball marked them with big jugs. It seem's me and that guy tried for Crappie around the same time and now their getting hammered. Mostly people fish for bass there so i think the Crappie got left alone for a while. But they are getting wise now. I won't be back there for quite a while. If ya do go please report here. Thanks, Brian

Guys, thanks for the support of the State Parks. I serve on the State Parks Advisory Committee as one of your "outdoorsman representatives" on the committee (for lack of a better term.)
Unless real funding is put back in place, you are going to see the department slashed and parks closed. Period. Please contact your representatives in the state house and ask for the sporting goods tax to be spent as it is supposed to be.
